What is Brightfield?
Brightfield is a selective programme for ambitious pre-uni students that blends academic knowledge with real-world application.
Students work in small teams of 2 - 4 to complete structured, subject-aligned projects — guided by mentors from leading institutions such as LSE, UCL, Cambridge, and Columbia.
Each project is designed to simulate university-level thinking while remaining accessible to pre-university students. Whether it’s drafting a policy memo, presenting a finance pitch, or analysing a legal case, students gain real academic exposure in their intended field of study — and produce tangible work they can reference in personal statements, interviews, or scholarship applications.
Why Brightfield?
Show, don’t just tell
Anyone can say they’re passionate about their subject of interest.
Brightfield helps you prove it — through real, subject-specific projects you can reference in personal statements, CVs, and interviews.
Stand out where it matters
Top universities see thousands of applicants with strong grades and good intentions.
What they rarely see is a student with hands-on academic experience in their chosen field. That’s what Brightfield offers.
Direct connection to your target universities
Each Brightfield project is mentored by undergraduates and postgraduates from leading universities — including Oxford, Cambridge, LSE, UCL, and more — You’ll gain real insight into your future department from those studying there now.
